Dear Marine Scientists,
Our seas are of invaluable importance for the future of our country and the sustainability of our world. One of the most important tasks facing us today is to protect, develop, and pass on these riches to future generations in the light of scientific knowledge. With this understanding, we are delighted to invite you to the VII. National Marine Sciences Conference, which will be held under the theme "Türkiye's Blue Vision: New Horizons in Marine Sciences". Our conference will be held in Izmir on May 13-15, 2026, hosted by Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology. Today, global problems such as climate change, overfishing, marine pollution, ecosystem destruction, the decrease in marine biodiversity, and increasing demands on natural resources on the seabed necessitate the development of new approaches in the field of marine sciences. In this respect, our conference; It aims to be an important platform that will shape our country's "Blue Vision" through scientific presentations and discussions in many fields such as biological, chemical and physical oceanography, marine geology and geophysics, marine technologies, polar research, climate change and marine policies.
The contributions of you, our esteemed scientists, will shed light on the formation of common sense and new horizons regarding the future of our seas. Your participation will increase the scientific richness of our conference and will also strengthen cooperation and solidarity among our colleagues. We will be honored and pleased to host you in Izmir to contribute to Türkiye's blue vision, share our scientific knowledge and open new horizons in marine sciences.
